Hansel and Gretel is perhaps the darkest and greatest of the fairytales from the Brothers Grimm.
This extraordinary book brings the classic childhood tale to a new generation courtesy of one of the world's greatest picture book artists, Hans Christian Andersen Award-winner Anthony Browne.

Review by ccbell
This version of Hansel and Gretel is pretty much the re-told version of the original story. The siblings come across a house made of candy and that house belongs to a witch. I am aware that this story is supposed to be a little bit "dark", but the illustrations in this book really bring out the darkness of the story. I enjoyed the illustrations more than the actual repetitive story.
