This is by far the best guide to pen-and-ink or illustration I've read.

I recently acquired a 1976 edition of this book; of which is an update of "Drawing With Pen and Ink" which was published in 1930. There is a more recently published 60th anniversary edition available, I don't know if the newer edition includes the use of more modern materials such as Sharpie and Micron pens. Still, my edition is a wonderful resource for pen and ink drawing techniques and ideas.
