Skinny Dip Paperback
by Carl Hiaasen
Joey Perrone is a woman with a mission. She's just been pushed overboard from a cruise liner by Chaz, her scumbag husband, and survived to tell the tale.
But rather than reporting him to the police, she decides to stay dead and - with a little help from her friends and a few of Chaz's enemies - instead of getting mad, she's going to get even.
Filled with a host of endearingly offbeat characters, and a narrative that is hilarious, romantic and thought-provoking by turns, "Skinny Dip" takes us on a journey through the warped politics of Southern Florida and through the madness created by the human heart.

Review by johnthefireman
A humorous and ingenious crime story.

Enormously fun, sexy thriller as a wronged wife sets out for revenge against her lowlife husband. Set in the sleazy and balmy state of Florida, Haaisen ticks all the boxes and pushes all the right buttons to make this a hugely entertaining and funny hit.

I liked Hiaasen's books for youths so much that I wanted to read one of is books for adults. (Hoot and Flushed) This book is not of a genre usual for me. This book is about a man who decides to throw his wife off a cruise ship on their second anniversary, to kill her. There is a lot of bad language in this book. The story was interesting. The last bit of the book leaves the end a bit open but one of the characters has made the premoniscient statement that everything is going to wrap up nicely and completely.
