A little fairy gets lost in a snowstorm and is blown far away from home.
Her poor, thin wings are freezing! As she looks for shelter, she meets a friendly robin and owl who give her food and clothes, and in turn she looks after a little elf boy.
It's Christmas Eve and Father Christmas is out delivering his presents.
Along his way he finds the lost, shivering children, and takes them home, as well as giving them gifts.
Together the children have a wonderful Christmas -- and finally get warm.
Beautiful, delicate illustrations make this book one to treasure.

Originally published in German as Die kleine Elfe feiert Weihnachten ("The Little Fairy Celebrates Christmas"), this charming holiday book follows the story of Faith, a gossamer-winged fairy who becomes lost in a snowstorm, and is blown far from home. Encountering a series of creatures in the woods - a robin, an owl, and a little elf - Faith is aided and aids in turn, before being rescued, together with the elf boy, by none other than Father Christmas...As with In the Land of Fairies, the only other Daniela Drescher title that I have read thus far, Little Fairy’s Christmas is a sweet tale, greatly enhanced by the delightful illustrations. Drescher captures the cold beauty of the winter landscape, the eldritch enchantment of her fairy and elf characters, and (in the final scene) the inviting warmth of a snug home at the holidays. Recommended to anyone who appreciates magical holiday tales, and to fans of Drescher’s artwork.
