From the opening couple of sentences this kept me reading and kept me interested. A dead body leads to discovering a murder spree. They are joined by a cop from down-country who agrees with them and has been campaigning for someone to take the death of a man he knew seriously. It was nail-biting to see who did it and I liked the Pratchett mention on page 220 "Well, the magic elephant who carries the wide dish of the planet on its massive back moves ponderously on its daily trek around the sun." though the constant whining by Eve about time zones got old.Entertaining, I enjoyed it, the characters are like a TV show I'm enjoying, nothing demanding but I'm having fun reading it.
