Review by Bridgey
A submarine falls into the hands of French renegades who are using it in order to deal out their own cruel form of justice.Formerly known as the butcher of Perak, Neil Mallory is assigned to find out the whereabouts in the Channel Islands. Posing as a boat navigator for the now ailing General Grant. Assisted by his French counterpart, can he stop the submarine from inflaming the cold war? Is he able to overcome past demons in order to save the day?Another Higgins novel where the pages fly by. The ending appeared a little rushed but this early novel gives great glimpses into many of the later characters Higgins develops.Well worth a read, although a little clichéd at times.
