Interesting overview of Disney as company, culture, and phenomenon, from a variety of different analytical approaches.Academic, but reasonably accessible writing. I wish there was a bibliography instead of all citations being within notes. Wasko refrains from inserting much personal commentary into the book, preferring to instead offer a compendium of critical opinion and analysis. Time is given to the 'Disney Myth', the cultural content of the films, merchandising, corporate structure and behavior, the theme parks, and even Disney fandom, and anti-Disney attitudes.
