Review by

In this lighthearted retelling of a Japanese folktale, a scrawny country boy named Kaito heads to Kyoto to enter a wrestling tournament, but meets a girl along the way who is far stronger than he is, and she offers to help him prepare for the tournament. The mixed-media collage illustrations work's well with the story's humorous tone.
