Weaveknitwear : Simply Fabulous Clothing and Accessories for Rigid-Heddle (and Other) Weavers Paperback
Judith Shangold's designs turn what might seem to be the limitations of this loom into a strength.
She pairs simple shapes that reflect the ease of current fashion, and require little cutting and sewing, with the long tradition of ethnic garments created from strips of handwoven fabric.
The book offers guidance on he basics of weaving and the minimal hand sewing and knitting techniques used, as well as primers on choosing yarns, designing warps, planning garments, finishing the fabric.
This makes Weave Knit Wear a valuable resource that aids in planning and constructing one-of-a-kind woven and woven-and-knit projects for all weavers.

Review by MarthaJeanne
This book shows how to make your hand weaves (rigid heddle!) and turn them into attractive clothing by adding knit pieces and edges for the parts hand weaves don't do well. The patterns look very workable and there is lots of good advice for those who are unsure of themselves. The weaves and knits are kept very simple, with most of the visual impact coming from the use of interesting yarns. Exciting stuff! The gallery in the back of these patterns used with fancier weaves is really fun and shows the possibilities if you have a fancier loom than mine.
