Never a dull moment in this compelling story. Great story line, though the characters were a little flat, except for Max and Tom. Apart from that, I enjoyed this immensely.

Mary Grace Winters knew the only way to save herself and her son from her abusive husband was to stage her own death. As Caroline Stewart she thinks she has left the nightmares behind until her husband finds out where she is.My Thoughts:This is the first book by Karen Rose which introduces some of the characters that will be met again along the way in the other books that follow.I am a fan of Karen Rose as she really is goos at what she does. My only regret is that I didn’t read the books in order as they were published. The reason being is that I knew inthis one what was going to happen. If I hadn’t read any at all I would have wizzed through this books as the tension grew. However with me knowing what was going to happen I couldn’t wait for the characters to get on with it. This does not reflect on how good the book is if you have never read any before. I do think that I have enjoyed some of her other books a lot more.So if you like romantic suspense, such as the likes of Tami Hoag, Sandra Brown and Erica Spindler then try Karen Rose as she is a real treat.
