The Painted Quilt : Paint and Print Techniques for Colour on Quilts Paperback
Add colour to quilts in a way that's beyond fabric, creating textiles more dimensional, detailed and distinctive than you ever imagined possible. This book demystifies the process of colouring cloth using a variety of techniques including fabric paints, pastels, dyes, bleaches and transfers.
It combines simple techniques to produce complex textile surfaces, and describes exactly how these effects are achieved with easy-to-understand step-by-step photographs and instructions. Many people have competent sewing skills but lack the confidence to create their own designs - this book will help them to explore their own creative potential to achieve effective and original designs.

As of 2/16 I have read quite a few snippets. One thing I am still enjoying are the large number of illustrations - GOOD illustrations. Almost every page has a lot of illustrations, which I love, especially for the price. I also love the voice that Linda and Laura Kemshall write in. Helping, teacherly and confident, bu also encouraging and not condescending.
