A serial killer strikes in Montana leaving women, naked, tied to trees where they die of exposure in the snow. Jillian becomes another victim on her way to investigate photos of her supposedly dead former husband. The author plants several plot red herrings as local police struggle to find the motive and identity of the serial killer, but I found the ending didn't really work for me, leaving as it did a major plot thread incomplete. not sure if that was because a sequel picks it up.
