This story touched me so deeply and had so many funny and sad moments, that this is definetly a keeper. I think the star of the story was Bertie the Bassett dog which had me in stitches, with his love of human company and food, i.e. bacon sandwiches.!

This is a great book. It intertwines the lives of many people, along with the dogs that they "save". It is light but just what I needed after the last two books I read. I enjoyed it immensely.
