I love this kid's book. I've read this to children I've taught and they have loved joining in with the repeated phrases and adding action to the tale

Hairy McLairy is a fluffy black dog who skips along the road merrily and stumbles upon an treacherous cat named Scarface Claw. Scarface Claw is mean and horrible and is just a pawn in a much darker and stronger force controlling the world that Hairy McLairy lives in.LOOK OUT HAIRY MCLAIRY!!!!! (10 stars)

A funny book! My four year old enjoyed it a lot, he laughed out loud at all the funny dog names: "Bitzer Maloney all skinny and boney" and "Bottomley Potts covered in spots". The drawings are great too, a good dog book!

Delightful doggie names and rhyming rhythm, with humor. This is n=*not* 'rumpus at the vet,' though, so I'm asking the goodreads librarians to fix it.
