The Rexx Language : A Practical Approach to Programming Paperback
REXX is the programming language designed for people, not machines.
It swept IBM when it was first distributed on IBM's internal network by its creator.
With heavy use by a lively networking community, it has evolved to meet the needs of its users.
In 1987, IBM acknowledge its success and adopted it as one of the cross-system SAA (Systems Application Architecture) languages.
Now, REXX has spread outside IBM, on both mainframes and micros.
Today, more than six million people have REXX on their systems.

Review by dav4is
Still the best Rexx book, as both introduction and reference. The language is almost too easy to learn and use. When it became widely available at IBM, we had to cope with secretaries and managers keeping their league bowling scores on their computers who now considered themselves "programmers" -- and they were! As a member of the Rexx Language Committee (IBM), I helped define the language and reviewed Mike's galleys for the first edition.
