The first half of Volume 27 covers the end of Part One of Naruto.
We catch up on all the ninja's that took part in the Sasuke Retrieval mission, and we find out what all our favourite ninja's plan to do over the two and a half years before the time-skip.
Part One then ends with a chilling image of what is to come in Part Two.
The second half, however is what makes this book unique.
It covers the story of how Kakashi got his Sharingan.
A heartbreaking and yet deep insight into how Kakashi's personality was shaped to be what it is now.

Review by Kassilem
Everyone survives; that's nice. But Sasuke gets away. It means more battles against him later on I guess. And Naruto is going to be leaving for two or three years to train. I'm excited to see him grow up and mature. And get taller. :) However, I've hit the peak of this manga craze so I may take a break here and go back to novels. We'll see.
