I was unsure about starting this series at first. The first volume was interesting enough but it wasn't phenomenal. But I've come to realize with these manga series that it sometimes takes a few volumes to really engross you in the story. So it was with this series and I'm glad I read past the second volume because it took a huge turn for the better. The deep plotline emerged fairly quickly but in pieces so as to keep you wondering and coming back for more, and the artwork seemed to get better. After volume two or three I was either used to the style or it really did get better. And by volume 10 I'm loving it. The story has gone deeper. It's not just a story about action but of comradeship and betrayal and persistence and tragedy. Yagi had me at the sword fighting and demons but now I'm hooked into the story and I don't think it's going to let me go until it's finished. I'm certainly not complaining; I'm enjoying the series immensely. Recommended for fantasy and/or graphic novel fans.

I actually enjoyed this volume more than the previous Claymore installments. I'm still not a huge fan of the art, and honestly I don't really like many of the characters either. But it is interesting to see a bunch of Claymores together, and the inner workings of a Claymore.

This is the 4th volume in the Claymore series and was another excellent installment in this series. This series continues to be a very well done dark fantasy series, full of excellent characters and stunning action scenes.Teresa did the unthinkable in protecting Clare, she killed humans. Now Teresa has to deal with the aftermath of that. There is a bounty on her head and other Claymores are tasked with killing the rogue Teresa once and for all. Teresa continually tries to convince Clare to stay in towns along the way, but Clare insists on following Teresa. Now we are following Clare’s story before she became a Claymore and it is fascinating to read about her background. We watch Clare and Teresa interact a lot. Both of them have changed some; Teresa is starting to feel human emotion and Clare is starting to have more of a sense of self worth. We meet quite a few new Claymore as well and learn about how they are ranked by ability. There are some absolutely spectacular fight scenes between the Claymore too.The whole series continues to be well drawn with excellent action scenes, wonderful characters, and a fascinating story.Overall this was a wonderful continuation to this story. I am excited to see what happens next. I would definitely recommend this whole manga series to anyone who loves action-packed dark fantasy manga.
