I read this story of the seizing of a British submarine whilst in Canada, which was just taking delivery of similar British submarines, adding to the interest. Probably best to suspend your critical faculties and just enjoy the ride in Patrick Robinson's books

great story...until the hollywood and somewhat unrealistic final section where the rogue comes ashore to see his ex-lover. COME ON! why does a good war dit always have to be ruined by a love interest? and if so, make it something a little more likely - stolen sub sits itself of a wesrtern power while the commander goes ashore, breaks into a house and has a discussion with a woman since married to his nemeisis???
