Review by

This collection begins with the first appearance of Harley Quinn's origin, as penned by Dini and illustrated by Timm, predating its portrayal in the Animated Series and "Batman: Harley Quinn" one-shot that brought Harley to the mainstream DCU. The volume continues with a selection of stories featuring Batman's other famous villains, including Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, the Ventriloquist, and Two-Face, all portrayed in the style of the animated series. The writing is wonderful and Timm's minimalist art deco aesthetic, created for the animated series, is perfect for conveying the atmosphere that the animated series used to such success. A great read for fans of "Batman: The Animated Series" and casual Batman fans alike!
