I was very happy to discover this book was worth the cost. I enjoyed reading it and I really liked looking at all the pictures of turned bowls from different artists. Lots of great ideas and good solid advice. I got some great design ideas I plan to try out. I found the book inspiring and it's always nice when a leading expert shares your views on technique. He really focuses on design and discounts ( a little harshly in my opinion) fancy grain patterns. I am considering purchasing one or two of his other books to add to my collection.
