i have this book a few times, it appealed to me as a child, being able to read and having the power to move things with your mind sounded so cool! it wasnt until i read it again just before i lent it to a friend that i remembered how much i loved it! defantly a classic!

Matilda is an intelligent little girl who has to deal with difficult adults such as her own parents and the head mistress of her school. She soon learns to move things with her eyes. Like most of Dahl’s books there is magic, mean adults, and bright kids. This is a book I personally love but in an Adventist classroom it would probably cause controversy. If I were to use it in the classroom, I would use it for the specific purpose to get student’s creative, silly juices flowing and have them translate those juices into a story.

Matilda is a very interesting book. It gives the reader a good description of who Matilda is, and what there parents do. The things she does are very cool and Magical. I would highly recomend this book
