Rude Boy, Blu-ray BluRay

Blu-ray

Description

Originally released in the cinema as a portrait of early 1980s Britain, this fictionalized documentary about The Clash was disowned by the band after it was made and declared 'disgusting' by The Daily Mail.

It is partly a study of the band and partly a story about a fictional fan, Ray Gange, who attends the band's concerts and becomes involved in the oppositional political culture of the day, joining in political demonstrations and attending the 'Rock Against Racism' tour.

Over the course of the film, Ray follow the band to a number of different gigs and sees them perform such songs as 'White Riot', 'Tommy Gun' and 'London's Burning'.
