What I like about Sarah Rayner's books are that they involve characters from previous books along with new faces. This book features Karen, who was such a central character in One Moment One Morning. Having lost her husband in that story, this time she is faced with losing her father and she finds she can't cope anymore. She ends up having therapy at Moreland's Clinic and meets the other two main characters, Michael, whose florist's shop is about to go under and Abby, who has been coping with her severely autistic son for years.I liked this book, although maybe not quite as much as the other two. There's a lot of therapy in it which kind of detracted slightly from the story, but I also think those parts were important. I think this would be a great book to read if you're suffering from depression. As the author says at the end, she has personal experience of mental illness so knows what she's talking about.I was pleased to see Lou and Anna back in supporting roles. Sarah Rayner writes very human stories, real people, real emotions and engaging storylines.
