Description

An inspirational story of a little bird who loses his nest, but finds his wings. Winter is on the way and it's time to fly south. George isn't quite ready to leave his nest yet, but when an enormous gust of wind blows his nest out of the tree, things start to get really interesting!

I didn't think this book would appeal particularly to the noisy class 3 who came in yesterday. I was wrong. They went very quiet and listened and looked and then we had a good discussion about what birds fly south and why. The RSPB would have been proud. :-)
