Review by terran
None of the patterns in this book appealed to me. However, there is great information on choosing yarns, including specific properties of the yarn depending on the fiber content. This would be a great reference book to consult about altering patterns to work with alternative yarns and different styles of knitting. The illustrations are well-done and easy to understand. There are chapters on knitting lace, Fair Isle knitting, shaping and fit, and other more unusual knitting techniques.
