So they go agian into a strange place to rescue a friend. I do like this plot but it is a bit repetitive...

This is a lighter read than the previous one, probably so the overall story doesn't depress us too much. We are also introduced to three new characters, Nel Tu, an Arrancar, and her brothers. All we've seen so far are blood thirsty warrior Arrancars, so Nel was a nice change of scenery. The big fight in this novel was between Ichigo and a disgraced Arrancar, who tries to get Ichigo to use his full power, prompting Ichigo to learn an important lesson. You can see some repetition here, as each character fights one enemy after another, but the Kubo's pace keeps you from getting too bored. There's always something that happens because of each battle, whether it's a lesson or a new power. :) I'm still going!
