Description

French drama about the corrupt Borgia family who ruled over Italy during the 15th and 16th centuries.

The film follows the Duke of Valentinois, César Borgia (Pedro Armendáriz), as he attempts to further his political career by arranging for his sister Lucrèce (Martine Carol) to marry Prince Alphonse d'Aragon (Massimo Serato).

Lucrèce falls for Alphonse but when he no longer proves useful to César, the Duke plans to get rid of him...
