  • It has been awhile since I read the first one so I can't remember exactly how violent it was. For this one I was a little surprised by the level of violence, in particular one act which I thought was a bit gratuitous.

  • Millar and company have probably jumped the shark here. As in the orginal, the artwork is great and there is plenty of humor. However, it seems a story that did not need to be told. Kick-Ass 1 was great because it was so unlikely - he was successful in spite of himself. This version has crossed the line into silly. The violence is too much -- perhaps I am getting old -- and the final rumble between the heroes and villains is ludicrous. Hit Girl is still my favorite character but even her part is taken a bit too far. How about her own comic?
