Description

Lisbeth Salander is a wanted woman. Two Millennium journalists about to expose the truth about sex trafficking in Sweden are murdered, and Salander's prints are on the weapon. Her history of unpredictable and vengeful behaviour makes her an official danger to society - but no-one can find her. Mikael Blomkvist, editor-in-chief of Millennium, does not believe the police. Using all his magazine staff and resources to prove Salander's innocence, Blomkvist also uncovers her terrible past, spent in criminally corrupt institutions. Yet Salander is more avenging angel than helpless victim. She may be an expert at staying out of sight - but she has ways of tracking down her most elusive enemies.

  • Great read!!!I read Dragon Tattoo on vacation in August and couldn't put it down. I finally found a chance to read Played With Fire flying to LA yesterday--finished it as the plane was landing. The third book, Girl Who Kicked The Hornets'Nest,is for sale on Amazon. I can't wait to read that, too.

  • An excellent follow-up to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The Girl who Played with Fire continues the story of Lisbeth Salander, a socially introverted young woman with remarkable skills and a unique view of the world. A few secrets about Lisbeth are revealed in this sequel, helping to explain what made Lisbeth what she is, and the ending left me wishing I had the next book in this trilogy already. Alas, I have a bit to wait before I embark on The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.

  • I absolutely loved this book. I haven't read such a blisteringly brilliant work in years. I am in love with Lisbeth Salander, and this second work beats the first hands-down, a feat of gigantic proportions.

  • I was already hooked with Dragon tattoo...this was even better and I was truly surprised by some of the twists and turns. That doesn't happen very often. I can't wait to delve into Hornet's Nest!
