  • Excellent book packed with ideas to get the creative thoughts going. Twenty nine chapters in 4 main sections: bending and stretching, exploring, finding form, assessing and developing. Each chapter has a brief introduction and is then packed with prompts giving writers and aspiring writers plenty of opportuity to noodle around and explore different ideas.

  • Helpful exercises that can lend a needed spark when suffering from writer's block. However, some of the prompts are a little lame.

  • I haven't really used this book as such. I guess I'm at the early point where I don't need ideas or prompts to get started when I already have a story in mind. However, I enjoyed the author's own sense of humour, and there are some very apt writer's tips in here as well as the prompts.
