Documentary that examines the fictional careers of the Starfleet captains from the long-running TV show, Star Trek. With six different TV series and eleven movies to its name, Star Trek is arguably the most successful sci-fi franchise of all time. Many of the actors and the characters they have portrayed have become iconic through their association with the show, not least William Shatner's Captain Kirk and Patrick Stewart's Jean-Luc Picard. The documentary takes a look at the careers of the various Star Trek captains and discusses their respective merits and shortcomings.
