The failure of a high-tech energy experiment threatens worldwide destruction in this sci-fi disaster thriller starring Lou Diamond Phillips. When scientists working on the Helios Project - a state-of-the-art facility that harnesses solar rays for renewable power - turn the system on for the first time, everything at first goes to plan. However, as the energy being received begins to escalate to critical levels, a series of huge magnetic tornados are created, with potentially catastrophic destructive force.
