Meet the Author - S. M. Wilson

S.M. Wilson is obsessed with books - she has read thousands and written over fifty. She wrote her first YA series, The Extinction Trials, to try and infect her sons with the same love of reading that she has, mixing the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park with the action of The Hunger Games. Her second series, The Infinity Files, channels her love of all things sci-fi. Star Trek, Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica are firm favourites and she couldn’t wait to create a sci-fi world all of her own.

Her day job is as a nurse in public health and writing The Infinity Files gave her the opportunity to escape from the world of COVID testing and COVID immunisation where she’s spent the last year. Having the chance to imagine other worlds and planets, spaceships and wormholes was a welcome release and she hopes that reader love Ash, her heroine, and the library at the end of the universe, just as much as she does.

She lives with her family on the west coast of Scotland where it’s not unusual to see four seasons in one day. She’s still waiting for her husband to build her the library she’s always dreamed of with a sliding ladder to house her thousands of books.
