There's an Awful Lot of Bubbly in Brazil : The Life and Times of a Bon Viveur Paperback
Alan Brazil's hilariously engaging autobiography was the surprise bestseller of 2006, a life-enhancing antidote to the bland life-stories of a gaggle of young Premier League superstars.
Alan and his co-writer, Mike 'Porky' Parry, have added fresh stories of japes, pranks and mishaps, and they can be relied upon to keep the bottles of bubbly slipping down a treat.
Funny and controversial by turns, "There's an Awful Lot of Bubbly in Brazil" will delight and entertain all football followers as well as the multitude of fans of Alan's "talkSPORT" breakfast show.

There is a limit to how many times you can read about someone drinking too much champagne. I was disappointed. I knew Alan Brazil when he owned a 16th century pub in Ipswich and you could pop in for a pint and some outstanding football commentary. Although not a football fan, I was keen to find out more about his life as i always found him charming and he really is a local hero. But this mainly covers the japes he gets up to while working as a sports commentator at the BBC and his champagne-charlie lifestyle. An opportunity missed.
