My thoughts and rating on this one must be divided into two parts. As far as the story is concerned I give the author full marks for a new and original take on child kidnapping and murder. She has certainly thought out something completely different here.Regretfully it has not been made clear either by the author or the publishers that a previous book called 'Darkside' is strongly connected to this one and should be read first to get the full picture. This is a very great pity as it spoils a great thriller. The third and indeed the first of this trilogy can however be read as a stand alone if one wishes.
