The description the the book says it is the most terrifying, unforgettable novel you'll read all year. It also says "You will never guess their secret". "You will never forget the twist". Firstly, I didn't find the book, terrifying and I don't think it will be unforgettable. It was a good read, but perhaps I've watched too many horror films (I haven't read many horror books - it's not a genre I'm really into) but I didn't find it scary or frightening at all - certainly not terrifying! Having said that, I enjoyed the story and was intrigued by it. I am sure a lot of readers will guess the 'twist' if that's what it was, but I found it rather weak. It was not shocking anyway. If you want a good easy read, then I'd recommend this book if you like a bit of gore, but that's really all it was.

While this book has a great start and a really impressive nicely tied up surprise ending that you won't see coming the middle does drag some but not enough to stop you from reading at a furious pace to see what happens.
