Collection of six classic British films. In 'The Leather Boys' (1963) two teenagers, Dot (Rita Tushingham) and Reggie (Colin Campbell), marry in order to have sex.
Their relationship quickly begins to fail and is further complicated when Reggie discovers motorbikes and a male lover.
Highly controversial in its day. In 'The Grass Is Greener' (1960) an aristocratic couple, Victor (Cary Grant) and Hilary (Deborah Kerr), open their stately home to the public.
When a Texan oil millionaire (Robert Mitchum) enters their private quarters, however, he successfully seduces Hilary.
Victor then tries to win back his wife by enlisting the help of an ex-girlfriend (Jean Simmons), ultimately challenging his rival to a good old-fashioned duel. '1984' (1956), based on the novel by George Orwell, is set in a futuristic, state-run society controlled by 'Big Brother', where love is outlawed.
When employee of the state Winston Smith (Edmond O'Brien) falls for Julia (Jan Sterling), he is tortured and brainwashed for his crime.
Michael Redgrave and Donald Pleasence co-star. In 'St. Martin's Lane' aka 'Sidewalks of London' (1938) petty thief Libby (Vivien Leigh) becomes a dancer in a street performing act led by Charles (Charles Laughton).
When theatre mogul Harley (Rex Harrison) spots the buskers, he invites them to an audition but while Libby is dancing in the limelight, the rest of the troops are left behind on the streets of London.
In 'The Blockhouse' (1973), based on the novel by Jean Paul Ciebert, six men of different nationalities are trapped in an underground German blockhouse.
Although they have a plentiful supply of food and beverages, the victims must overcome loneliness and boredom in order to survive. 'The Yellow Rolls Royce' (1964) links the lives and stories of three very different people through their ownership of the same yellow Rolls Royce Phantom II.
The first to own the car is Englishman Lord Charles Frinton (Rex Harrison), who buys it as a birthday present for his wife Lady Eloise Frinton (Jeanne Moreau).
The car is then bought by gangster Paolo Maltese (George C.
Scott) to tour round Italy with his moll Mae Jenkins (Shirley MacLaine).
In the middle of their journey, however, Paolo is called back to the United States to take care of business.
In his absence Mae takes up with street photographer Stefano (Alain Delon) whom she falls in love with.
The final purchase is by Gerda Millett (Ingrid Bergman), a wealthy American widow on her way to visit royalty in Yugoslavia during its invasion by the Nazi Germans in World War II...
