Review by

This book told me much about Tom Hanks and his film career. The author never convinced me that he had ever spoken directly with Tom or had his permission to write the book. It did appear that the author had spoken with people in Tom's life for direct quotes and information. The sloppy manner in which this book was written, or at least published (I can't say edited as it doesn't appear to have been) does make one wonder though... This is the most poorly edited book I have read in many years! Embarrassing mistakes such as Hampstead Health instead of Hampstead Heath, and another in the name of a famous person which currently escapes me. The quality of book construction was also the poorest I have seen in years. Both were so severe that I contacted Amazon to give them feedback and to request the ability to send the book back for a total refund.
