1,000 Artist Journal Pages : Personal Pages and Inspirations, Paperback Book

1,000 Artist Journal Pages : Personal Pages and Inspirations Paperback

5 out of 5 (4 ratings)

Journals offer their makers a safe place to dream, doodle, rant, and reinvent themselves.

They offer viewers rich, visual inspiration. There is a fascination with these revealing and often beautiful pages of self-exploration and personal expression.

Journals offer a tantalizing, voyeuristic view of an interior life.

This will be the first book to offer over 1000 journals in one eye-catching, visual format, and should attract a wide swathe of artists who fully embrace or experiment with this medium.

As an avid art journaler this book is a feast for the eyes as well as the soul. Since purchasing this book I've paged through it many times, looking, reading and absorbing all it has to offer. Very inspirational, very personal and one of those books I will never tire of perusing. A must for anyone who journals, makes art or combines the two.

Not a "how to" title, although it contains a few brief pages of suggestions/journal prompts at the very beginning, this is a book of inspiration. It is a gallery of pages from the journals of artists around the world (larges U.S.). All images are full color, many are full page. Many different styles, techniques, layouts, feelings. An appendixed Directory of Artists includes email/website/blogsite addresses for artists included in gallery. I look at this for inspiration for my own pages; but sometimes I have to put it away for away so I don't feel too inferior...
