Very moving book with children's drawings and poems from the Terezin concentration camp.

Beautiful, yet heartbreaking, this book contains the children’s drawings and poems from Terezin Concentration camp. Between 1942 and 1944 over fifteen thousand children passed through Terezin. Art became a way of therapy as the children found ways to express their hurt and frustration.

This is a great book filled with beautiful images and poems developed by children at the Terezin Concentration Camp. The poems are written from different perspectives, as well as the photographs. It was very interesting to read how some children felt about their individual situations. I would definitely share the book with my students.

I really enjoyed reading this book of poems. The poems are full of positive yet discouraging words. The book is full of emotions. The poems written in this book are by children from Terezin concentration camp. This is a camp where many Jews died. The children looked for ways to distract themselves from the world. This is an amazing book for children to read when talking about the holocaust.
