A time-travel romance featuring a present-day heroine and a dashing hero from the sixteenth century!
Abandoned by a cruel fate, lovely Dougless Montgomery lies weeping upon a cold tombstone in an English church.
Suddenly, the most extraordinary man appears. It is Nicholas Stafford, Earl of Thornwyck...and according to his tombstone he died in 1564.
Drawn to his side by a bond so sudden and compelling it overshadows reason, Dougless knows that Nicholas is nothing less than a miracle: a man who does not seek to change her, who finds her perfect, fascinating, just as she is.
What Dougless never imagined was how strong the chains are that tie them to the past...or the grand adventure that lay before them.
Hailed worldwide as one of the most romantic novels of all time, A Knight in Shining Armor is "a glorious love story that spans centuries, worlds, and souls.
It is the epitome of every woman's fantasy" (Chicago Daily Herald).

My first time travel romance (and now I am addicted)
Review by diamondignite
This book is one of my all time favorites and the first Jude Deveraux book that I ever read. I have since read it like 20 times. I was never really satisfied with the ending but the story and romance is so great that I overlook that.

I was never interested in reading romance novels but this book was recommended to me by a good friend so I read it. I am so glad I did because it is one of my most favorite books.

Escapist romance, this tale focuses on an unhappy 20th century woman with an enviable problem--what to do with a gorgeous man who has arrived mysteriously from another time, allegedly to help you? First he's a burden to her, then a return to his time brings heartache. The happily ever after ending doesn't follow the usual formula, but satisfies. Not the greatest book ever, but certainly lots of fun.
