Antrobus, the hero of Sauve Qui Peut and Stiff Upper Lip, is featured in this novel, and represents the epitome of that most British of institutions, the Foreign Office.

This reminded me a lot of Wodehouse, but not quite as effortless. Still, there's a lot of humor in the situations and in the quintessentially British way the characters, as described by Antrobus, react to them. Highly recommended, especially for fans of Wodehouse.

Very funny; P. G. Wodehouse in the foreign service.
