Quick read - superhuman hero - very violent. But reads well.

Jack Reacher at his best! When Reacher books into a remote motel he inadvertantly enters a world of cowed people controlled by a local family. He intends to move on after initially inflicting punishment on a Duncan family member for beating his wife. However, when Reacher reads the case notes regarding a young girl who disappeared many years previously he decides he just cannot walk away. Awful secrets and a lucrative operation are revealed before Reacher and a few locals finally dish out justice to the Duncans.Plenty of action, great plot and a great ending. Must be read.

Enjoyable read, but suffers from a bit to much to-ing and fro-ing before eventually reaching a satisfying climax. Reacher has become more a flawless superhero who dishes out justice with violent precision.

Stultifyingly dull. This was billed as a highly exciting novel but it was about as stimulating and enlivening as a mug of Ovaltine with extra bromide.
