An interesting twist on the beauty and the beast story. Boston businessman Griffin Turner has a reputation for ruthlessness and a nose that he's convinced, and many people have convinced him, makes him ugly. He's fought his way up from the gutter and he's afraid of being hurt so he hides under his public persona, only his public persona is beginning to grate and he runs away to Morrow Creek, where he owns a share in a hotel, to brood.Olivia Mouton's dad owns the rest of the hotel and she's determined to make him leave her father alone, only they're sparking something between them that neither of them expected, her beauty is as much of a burden as his ugliness, but they both can see beyond the superficial to the depths hidden beneath. It was a fun read, the two had good chemistry for me. The cover doesn't have our hero as ugly as the book was talking about, I choose to think that this is his secretary.
