Review by MeditationesMartini
The conceit--"place ball in unit's hand extensions," etc.--wears a bit thin, although I guess parents become people who can hear the same joke again and again by necessity. The activities are all fun, normal, kind of obvious stuff you could and would do with your baby--seems a bit extraneous, but as a new dad I am (as with the repetitious joke above) open to the idea that six months from now I might be beside myself trying to soothe a small dude with night-time fears and just too trashed to think of any good game ideas myself and I might be happy to just flip open this b and go "peek-a-boo! of course! genius!" (tho let it be noted we are currently coping with more-or-less aplomb!). The illustrations are really appealing and raise the tone overall--they have that cartoonish doomsday or rub goldberg machine schematics thing but then you zoom out and realize it's a primary colour simple shape baby activiting his little heart out and his lodestar is joy.
