Resistance Is Futile, CD / Album Cd

Resistance Is Futile CD / Album

by Manic Street Preachers

CD / Album

Description

Thirteenth studio album by the Welsh rock band. The main themes of 'Resistance Is Futile' are memory and loss - forgotten history - confused reality and art as a hiding place and inspiration. Musically the album is obsessively melodic and in many ways references the naive energy of 'Generation Terrorists' and the orchestral sweep of 'Everything Must Go'. The first Manics album to be recorded at their new Door to the River studio (situated at the head of a valley just outside Newport) with long-term Manics collaborators (producer Dave Eringa and mix engineer Chris Lord-Alge), the album finds the band completely reinvigorated, clearly revelling in the change of scenery.
