DVD

Description

Collection of three classic Polish films. In the absurdist comedy satire 'The Cruise' (1970), a stowaway (Stanislaw Tym) aboard a cruise down the Vistula river is mistaken for a Communist Party cultural coordinator and sets about creating his own dictatorship on the boat.

The drama 'Camouflage' (1977) portrays two conflicting professors at a University summer school.

The colleagues clash over their treatment of the students with the elder Jakub (Zbigniew Zapasiewicz) detesting the liberal attitudes of young Master of Arts Jaroslaw (Piotr Garlicki).

As tensions rise between the pair their actions bring scandal upon their institution.

Set in the 1950s, 'Shivers' (1981) follows 13-year-old Tomek (Tomasz Hudziec) who, after being sent to a Stalinist youth camp, falls in love with an idealistic young woman.
