Definitely one of the strongest in the series, but really difficult to read, simply because such awful things get happening to the characters. Claire and Myrnin manage to fix the machine that controls the town, but it ends up wiping the memories of most of the humans and vampires in Morganville. It was really sad watching them all forget who they were, and who they loved. The most unlikely people had to come together and try to fix the machine before Claire lost her memory too. The ending was shocking, and I can only imagine it'll put a huge strain on Shane and Claire's relationship. It was an amazing book, though, and I can't wait for the release of the next one.
