This illustrated guide takes reader through the different stages of the transition from book to movie. Sharing interview from Suzanne Collins, Nina Jacobson (Producer), Gary Ross (Director) and several other members of the cast and crew, the reader gets insight into how the movie transformed from idea to film. Filled with stunning images from concept art to set stills (I'm a fan of the costume section), this companion guide to the movie will be a fun read for any fan of the Hunger Games trilogy

I'm not a huge fan of movie tie-in's... but I caved and grabbed this as I was heading toward the check-out. I must admit that I picked it up because of the flashy cover and the promise of an inside look at the movie before it hit theaters. I got home and read it on the porch in the sunshine.. and I did enjoy it! I read it cover to cover and was thoroughly impressed. The movie stills were incredible- many gorgeous full-page spreads, as well as many images tucked in with the writing grace the pages of this movie companion. The book was interesting and informative. Egan explores all the different aspects of film making. As much as movie tie-in's are NOT my thing- I totally loved this one. Maybe it's because I loved The Hunger Games so much that I'm a bit biased, but hey- it had interesting tidbits about the movie and the movie making process, plus lots of great movie stills!
