Review by

It's a bit of a mixed bag, this, and I can't say that all of the poems here are to my taste. Eleanor Brown's quietly vicious 'Bitcherel' ("There isn't a law that a face should have features / it's just that they generally do") is worth the price of purchase all by itself, though, and there are one or two other very good poems indeed in this beautifully presented little book.
